Liv Plays on an Accelerated Softball Team

Liv fancies herself a softball player and thinks she would like to play softball in high school.  She was invited to play on the Orem Tigers feeder team.  They had some incredible girls on this team and performed really well.  They were the champions of the Orem City Tournament and their coaches knew they would be and ordered them all champion rings which the girls thought was so cool.  Liv scored the last walk off hit to win the game which was super neat.

They played in several tournaments so far this year.  The first was in Saratoga Springs- Liv was only able to play in the pool games because she had previous been scheduled to record a song for the Church with Rise up that weekend.  She played in Moab.  Derek was actually out of town that weekend, so I drove down with all the kids by myself.  The tournament was in October so the teams were invited to dress up.  Liv's team dressed up like bandits.

They played several games over the weekend and the boys were so done watching softball by the end of it.  Friday night, we all went to pasta Jays (since Derek who doesn't like pasta wasn't there), then we sat in the hot tub of our hotel Friday night which was nice after last sort of chilly game.

Liv eared a great bruise getting hit by a pitch.

We visited the Moab visitor's center between games on Saturday.

Her last tournament was in Mesquite.  That one was fun.  We all drove down to St. George and stayed with Babi and Papou.  They would bring the boys down to watch one game a day and Derek and I would stay down and watch all the games.

Babi took the boys for their birthday lunch.

We had some great food dates in between games and did some shopping.  One night Liv stayed late after her last game and hung with her team so Derek and I played a little 21 at the local casino.  I made back all my starting money plus some- Derek didn't fare so well.  Liv's team ended up taking 3rd place and we were so glad when they finally lost there last game because as it was we drove home getting home at 2am and had to work and go to school the next day.  But the weather in Mesquite was lovely in December and Derek and I enjoyed a gorgeous sunset during the last game.
