Why I haven't written in a while...

I blame the time between posts on these guys.

They sure keep me running.  This post is not intended to scare the crap out of Babi and Papou who have so graciously agreed to watch all our kids so that Derek and I can go on a 10 year anniversary trip sans kiddos, but it may do that and justifiably so.

These guys do things and get into things that Liv never did.  Like this:
 and this:

and putting toys down the vacuum hole:

And if they are not putting things in the trash, they are pulling things out of it or climbing into it.  I literally have to search each trash can before I empty it and I usually find no less than 3 toys every time.

And we have covers on all the outlets without plugs in them.  Liv never once even messed with them.  Camden will pull something out of the outlet, suck on it, and try to stick it back in.  Scary, I know.  They climb like you would not believe on top of my piano and kitchen table.  They are capable of moving my kitchen chairs pretty much anywhere to climb onto whatever they desire.  It is a madhouse over here.  We had a babysitter over for an hour and half while Derek and I grabbed dinner this weekend.  I was a little nervous to leave her alone with all three kids awake.  When we got back, I asked her if it was crazy or ok.  She said it got a little crazy when they were trying to climb on the table.  It's true I know... as soon as you get one down the other one has climbed up the other side and then when you pull him down the other guy is back on and so on and so on.

Other Events:
Cute pic of the boys at the Brody and Alexis baby blessing (the other twins in our family just 9 months younger than these guys).
We celebrated Valentine's Day.  I made heart cookies with Liv and let her bring them to people around the neighborhood.

Tried to get a pic of all my red hot cuties on V-day but in every picture someone wouldn't hold still
For dinner, we went all out.  I worked that day and luckily some drug reps had brought in lunch.  No one was claiming the left overs so I did.  Dressed it up with a lit candle and a bottle of sparkling cider on ice.  For days after every time we sat down to eat Liv wanted to "light a fire" and have "bubbly juice".

Liv went to the dentist for the first time (no cavities)!  She was great.  She watched me and then was not scared at all for her turn after.  She let them do everything.  While I was getting my teeth cleaned she had packed a backpack full of princess books (probably 20 no joke) and just sat there reading them all.  They were amazed at how well behaved she was--just need princesses and that girl will sit for anything.  She of course picked a Belle toothbrush to take home and this stick on mustache (random, but hilarious).
Somewhere in here my Mom came out for a visit.  I don't really have any great pictures to show for it.  But we went to the indoor playground at the Provo rec center, and we met Lily Darias up at the SLC children's museum and then had lunch at her place.  Liv had so much fun playing with her girls and it was great to visit with Lily and hear all about her culinary school adventures (so jealous).

All the kids got new car seats:

Liv loves that hers is purple (her favorite color just like Aunt Kylie) and that it has lights on the sides that she can push so she can read in the dark.

A little play date Liv had with her friends Vivian and Norah from preschool.  Without planning it both Vivian and Liv were in black and white striped shirts and Norah was wearing a heart shirt just like Liv.

On the last Monday holiday (President's Day) I had a bit of a midlife crisis (was just so sick of all my clothes that I wear regularly a majority of which are from before Derek and I got married 10 years ago).  It started as a lunch date with my friend Lindsay and resulted in a completely unplanned entire day away from my husband and children shopping and buying a bunch of new bright trendy clothes including coral polka dotted skinny jeans--oh man!  Wasn't sure I could really pull any of it off, but have since been wearing everything and loving all the new options.
Cute Little Carter one day when we were play at the Morris home with Eli and Emmett
I was pretty proud of myself for braving the Thanksgiving Point Farm with all the kidders by myself (well I guess Becky and Heather were there with their kids).  Here's all the bigger kids in jail.  Happiest jailbirds I ever saw.  Liv also got to go on a pony ride (probably her favorite part), and we all went on a wagon ride, and fed goats, and saw a bunch of other animals, and all the kids loved running around their indoor farm set up.
Liv got to go to a Frozen birthday party for her friend Hazel in the ward.  Sarah (Hazel's Mom) had her sisters dress up like Elsa and Ana.  All the girls flipped.  Liv turned into crazy stalker girl and kept hugging Elsa and petting her dress and trying to hold her hand.  Elsa even sang "Let it go."  She had a fabulous voice and these girls all loved belting it along with her.
London is seriously the best dog ever.  She withstands and I think actually enjoys both boys and Liv sitting on her, riding her, jumping on her, using her as a step stool, pulling her fur and tail and so much more.
My poor little Carter won himself a nights' stay in the hospital due to RSV.  I guess he just didn't want to miss out on what Camden had the chance to do last year.  (Seriously?!  How is it possible that I have spent time in the hospital both of the last two years with RSV with each of my twins--isn't that slightly crazy?)  He had just a normal little cough for a couple days, then one night woke up breathing pretty rapidly.  I took him to my office in the middle of the night to do a breathing treatment which seemed to help, but by the next morning all he was doing was laying down on either Derek and I and just breathing and falling in and out of sleep.  So, we took him to the ER and his oxygen was in the 80s, so they admitted him and kept him on oxygen.  He was the cutest little hospital patient.  He just didn't feel good but was still his mostly agreeable self.  The nurses or respiratory therapist would come in and try to listen to his lungs or suction him or I would try to get him to eat or drink something and he would just sit there with his cute little voice and shake his head and say "uh uh"  "uh uh" "uh uh" over and over.  Just the most agreeably disagreeable little guy there was.

By the next day, he was already acting much more like his crazy toddler self and scaling the ledge on the windowsill in the hospital room and all sorts of other hazardous things.  They gave me the option of staying or going home on oxygen.  Without a thought, we choose to go home where we could get some sleep and spread out a little more. Carter was ecstatic when Camden came to see him after their night apart.

Camden was equally thrilled to have Carter back at home to tromp around the house with.
He was on oxygen for two days and then two more just at night.  Keeping the oxygen tubing in his nose was craziness the kid would pull it out every chance he got.  He had a 50 foot length tube some he could wander around the house but it would get tangled and he'd get stuck.  You'd here him all the sudden start fussing and it was either because it was tangled again or Camden was pulling it behind him like a leash and he couldn't move.  Pure craziness for a few days, but now he's good as new.  First day off daytime oxygen at the grocery store.

Yes, this has been an exhausting week.  However, on the bright side, I have gotten some serious good snuggle time with my little Carter bug this week and have loved every minute of it (but Camden sure hasn't).

We had a go at planting a spring garden for the first time this year.  Derek worked his magic yesterday and we now have carrots, lettuce, spinach, peas, broccoli, and onions in the ground.  So exciting can't wait to see those little seeds popping out of the ground and eat everything when it's ready.
Tomorrow is St. Patty's Day so we had the traditional corned beef and cabbage.  Derek admitted that it is growing on him.  After 10 years of me making this every year on St. Patty's despite his complaints he finally agreed tonight that it was pretty good.
 My little princess obsessed princess.

It was such a lovely day today, so she took all her princesses outside on the front porch to get married.  Getting a little worried about this girl.  She was learning about different occupations at preschool the other day and came home with a picture she drew that said "When I grow up I wants to be a Rapunzel." Oh brother!
