"I'm Popeye the Sailor Man"

Gardner's hosted a most fun Halloween party this year. Derek and I went as Popeye and Olive Oyl. Derek loved an excuse to show his muscles, and I had a great time being a cartoon all day. I was shocked at how many people knew who I was at first glance. I figured no one would know who I was if I wasn't next to Popeye. Bravo!

Once again...everyone at work dressed up.
My Mom was here last weekend. We hiked Stewart falls on what I fear was the last nice weekend around here for a long time. So sad!Derek and I enjoyed our first Halloween in the new place. We carved pumpkins, roasted the seeds (garlic salt and chili powder- they were yummy), and passed out candy to the neighborhood kids that came trick-or-treating.Derek also requested that I post pictures of our backyard. He even went outside and took the pictures for me. I guess that's his favorite part of the house. So, here's the back patio where Derek reads the newspaper every day after work and always wants to eat dinner (but to his disappointment I usually say no because I think it's too cold).Above is our side yard and most of the fruit trees. And below, the mountain view from our backyard. In other news, nothing much. We recently had our phone interview with the fertility doctor in California who is going to perform the icsi (a fancy in vitro) procedure for us. Essentially we can go out any time we wish depending on how my cycles go. We are just trying to coordinate our budget and time off work at this point. Wish us luck.
