Item of Business #1: We did it! We bought a new car big enough to fit the expanding family. We are now the proud owners of a 2011 GMC Acadia.
We really love it. I especially (in my super pregnant state) enjoy the fact that I don't have to bend over (which I literally can't even do any more) to get Liv in the smaller car we had. With the excitement of the new car also came the sad parting of my Ford Focus which I have had and driven since high school. I feel like that car has traveled with me through all life's major adventures thus far (drove me to college, was our only car when D and I first got married, drove us out to Oregon for law school and PA school, brought Liv home from the hospital in this car). Derek did not mourn the loss of my car, but luckily my daughter Olivia was sad to see it go. She wanted Dad to take her picture in front of the car before we said goodbye forever. She still talks about how we have "no blue car only money" (and not much money at that)!
Item #2: Derek turned 32 hurray! And, for his birthday this pregnant lady made a chocolate cake (from scratch) and some dairy free (for our little allergy child) raspberry sorbet. Double hurray for the pregnant lady! Liv was so excited to sing happy birthday to her Dad.
We had a bunch of Derek's friends over for cake and sorbet and she just kept saying, "I want to sing Happy Birthday." She also couldn't wait to have "pink ice cream with no cheese" (as she referred to it).
Item #3: Liv and Derek flew out to my Mom's in Chicago. Derek said Liv was great on the plane (no kidding)
Derek went to catch the BYU vs. Notre Dame game. He took Liv and my large and in charge self stayed home. It was fabulous...I had a little in-home vacation which involved sleeping in, reading, and watching movies! Let me say this again...Fabulous! Oh, and I think Derek and Liv had fun too. Derek's sister and her family and his Dad all flew out with them and all stayed at my Mom's house. Livie loved having all her favorite people under one roof. Events included- a ride on the "L", a visit to the aquarium, farm, THE GAME, the zoo, and a church go...
Item #4: Work threw me a baby shower. These ladies went all out with the decorations, and I had to laugh at the cake because I think it was a replica of my belly complete with belly button poking out! Hilarious on a cake not so much on my belly...
There are actually 3 of us all due around the same time, so we had a combined shower. I have included a side view belly shot for all those who have been hassling me about it. I am 34 weeks here.
Item #5: Halloween. Liv was so excited to carve a pumpkin this year.
We dressed her as Olivia the Pig (thanks to Ashley for loaning us her costume). She loves Olivia (sleeps with her at night and has all the books), so she was thrilled to dress up as her.
She has been trained well to say trick or treat and thank you. She, London, and Derek are out tromping the neighborhood and collecting candy now while the lazy pregnant lady gets the easy job of passing out candy!

In a dressing room. Liv wondered in there while I was looking for a few things for the baby brothers and when I found her she was sitting on this bench and asked to have her picture taken. Guess when she is in the mood (which is not often) she can be quite photogenic
