The kids played octopus tag. They, made an octopus shaped pizza. Then, they did this fun Octopus art activity. I printed off a coloring page on cardstock and bought black hot glue sticks. They used hot glue guns to trace the outline of the pictures and then watercolor painted them. 
I loved how they all turned out.
And, I was super glad to have my Mom and George out for the weekend to help make the party run smoothly. Derek made a fun playlist of songs that related to the ocean and octopus like the Beattles' Octopus Garden song. And then as party favors we sent all the girls home with sour gummy octopuses.
On her actual birthday, Liv insisted that she start the day out with breakfast in bed.
