Halloween

This year my office decided to do a pumpkin decorating competition and we set them up in the lobby and let the patients vote on the best one.  Mine is the painted white skull...I did not win.

The boys carved 6-7 into their pumpkins and all the trick or treaters got a kick out of it and Liv carved Elmo into her.

Both boys dressed up as flying squirrels with Max.  Liv dressed up as a basketball player with all her friends.  I last minute through together a rocker costume from Liv's closet to wear for work.

We had Tanner and Karlee and Steph over for Jack O Lantern pizzas from Papa Murphy’s.  Tanner and Karlee took their kids trick or treating around our neighborhood- Liv went with them for a bit and the boys ran into them with their friends as well.  Our kids pretty much took off for the night with their friends- the boys to gather so much candy and Liv to parties with their friends.

And Derek and I sat on the porch and doled out homemade Root Beer.  Jay and Julie and Carlos and Kari joined us.

BYU Football Season Starts

We have season tickets for the family again to the BYU games.

We have seats next to Blake and Sherri and Steph and Jon.

Grandpa has a handicap seat and everyone rotates taking turns sitting up there with him.  We have been having tailgate dinners before the game at Steph's Provo house.

The first game we had pizza, the second Subway subs.  It’s fun to sit together and root on BYU.  Liv loves to meet up with all her friends at the game during half time.

So far BYU is undefeated. Derek took the kids bright and early to the Big Noon Kick off before the Utah game- they loved it.

They ended up right next to the pool that Cosmo belly flopped into.   BYU beat Utah in the Holy War this year at home and everyone stormed the field (or kids included).

That was an exciting moment for BYU fans.  It's a good year to be a BYU fan.

Fall Break

This year for Fall break we used our Get Out Pass Lagoon Day.  We spent the day with the Hamblins and Max’s family.  It was the boys first time doing big time roller coasters.  Camden was a little nervous every time riding a new coaster, but then loved it every time.  It was a little rainy and cold that day which meant there was hardly anyone there.  Lines were short and the kids could ride all the coasters on repeat.  I rode each roller coaster once (but did ride Hanibal twice at the end of the day) to try to preserve my head from spinning too much so I could ride each coaster with Camden the first time.

Then a couple days later we also used the get out pass to go to the new rage room that opened up in Orem.  The kids had fun smashing stuff.  It was right before the BYU vs Utah football game so a lot of the stuff they smashed was dedicated to the Utes  Definitely an interesting idea.
