End of Fall Activities

I had a dang knee injury that prevented us from hiking as much as we have in the past, but we did take the kids on a small hike to upper falls one fall day.

Camden really loves to hike.  He always excited dons his “hiking vest” which has lots of pockets and is perfects for collecting and bringing home all the treasures he finds along the way.

They boys and I had several (fast food) lunch dates together after their half days of school.  Carter’s favorite is In-N-Out and Camden’s is Arby’s (which he refers to as black turkey sandwiches).
One day I also made them stop at Crumble cookies to appease me after having to eat yet another In-N-Out burger for lunch.
Fall soccer ended for the boys.  We snapped a picture with the team after the last game.
Since Olivia turned 8, she has now been able to attend activity days which she is loving.  She has come home with home made cards with dried flowers and they made this candy turkey one night.

We just discovered this awesome kids themed climbing gym in Lehi called Funtopia.  We have been twice this fall/winter.  Even Camden, who is our kid that is generally a little afraid of heights has fun climbing the walls.

We did various dates with the kids throughout the end of the falls.  Usually involving Derek taking one kids to a BYU basketball game, Liv being at play practice and me doing with the other kids whatever they desired.  Camden and I went to the University Mall and walked around all the Christmas lights and danced to the outdoor Christmas music.  Carter generally chooses to just stay home and play games with me.  One night Derek took both boys to a BYU game and they got to see and hug Cosmo which was like their dream come true.

Olivia’s summer book club is still trying to continue.  Hallie hosted this fall and the girls’ read Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus and made these adorable school bus cookies that they decorated.

And of course they snuck in some time for Barbies as well.
