Boys 6th Birthday

Despite my pleas for the boys to start going backwards in age, they once again turned a year older.

I got to go into their classroom the day they were celebrating their birthday this year because I also happened to be getting to tell their kindergarten class about my career.  It was a super fun opportunity.  I brought my little black bag with all my physical exam instruments and had each kid hold one as we talked about what it was used for.   Then, I had the birthday boys come up and I dressed them in surgical sterile gowns and gloves and hats etc.  Then, they handed out their store bought treat.  They really wanted to bring a box of bean boozled jelly beans for each kid.

Those are the ones where you have two jelly beans that look the same one that is pear or boogers, tuti fruiti or vomit, etc.  They kids spent recess trying jelly beans and spitting the yucky ones in the trash that day.  We finally gave them their first friend birthday party.  They were excited to open their presents in the morning.

We got both boys razors, look and find books, and My plate plates with dividers for all the food groups to encourage particularly Camden to eat a more balanced diet.
Aunt Stephanie gave Carter a puzzle which I found all put together without him ever asking me to help one day.

And she gave Camden a map that sticks on his bedroom wall and can be drawn on with dry erase markers.  He was so excited and wanted me to hang it up right away.

They had been dying to have their birthday party at Nickel City every since attending Cooper’s birthday party there last year.  They also when asked to pick their top 3 friends to invite both wanted Karson Kuhni who is 14, Jens who is 15 and Ander who is 10 to be there for their special day. These 3 special boys though boring as a 6 year old laser tag and arcade birthday may have seemed agreed to come, along with a few friends from the neighborhood and school, and made Camden and Carter’s day!

Babi and Papou also drove up for the even.  Lots of cap guns and whoopi cushions were received, they were also excited to get a big bottle of spite, bag of Cheetos, and play handcuffs.   Derek’s Mom brought a covered wagon decorated cake for them to the party.  The boys had a blast and seemed super happy to have the spotlight for a day.
