Hugs From Heaven

Olivia auditioned for a music video recording and filming opportunity with Sara Lyn Baril.  She had written a new Mother's Day song and was look for soloists and kids to record the song and perform in the music video.  Liv was given the opportunity to sing a solo for the song and the song writer reached out to see if Olivia's brother wouldn't mind participating in the music video as well.  I asked the boys and they said they were up for that.  It was a super fun and neat experience to be part of.  My favorite part of the experience was getting to know the inside scoop from the song writer about how she came up with the lyrics from the song.  She shared two exerperiences that I think were touch. The first was when she was a young mother and just told overwhelmed.  One day she found herself at her dishwasher just crying and asked Heavenly Father to send a little hug from heaven.  She says she immediately had this warm feeling from her head to toe and felt like someone what just embrassing her.  She learned that Heavenly Father is always there and willing to comfort her in times of need.  The second experience for this song writer was a dream where she found herself sitting in an airport with a little girl who was obviously upset and crying.  And she says as she comforting this little girl she could see her grandmother (who had recently passed) sitting there beside her comforting her at the same time.  Sara said that dreamed helped to remind her that while we are here ministering to others on earth there are also those who have passed before comforting and ministering to us.  It's always super fun to record in Noisebox studios and all the cute girls in this music video that recorded were so fun to get to know.  Liv got to also record a little duet with Claire Jeppson which we thought was a crazy coicidence as she had previously just a couple years before recorded another music video duet with Claire's brother Miles.  

The music video was filmed at a cactus garden and green house in salt lake.  

It was a bit of a crazy day because we literally filmed the video and then rushed to the aiport to catch our flight to LA for Babi's birthday cruise which we barely made with enough time to get our bags on the flight with us.  Derek was just a little disgruntled by this whole thing.  

But the video turned out beautiful with just a wonderful message that you are enough and that there is a loving heavenly father, savior and ancestors all around wanting and willing to comfort us whenever we need a little hug from heaven.  And all the kiddos did such a great job!
