Liv's Hunchback Show

Hunchback ended up being such an incredible opportunity for Olivia.  HCTO was so accommodating and arranged for Olivia to perform in a Tue,Wed, Fri cast so that she could attend her dance company on Mondays and MDT companies on Thursday.  It was neat for her to be able to work with both casts.

Here is the Bio that was published in the program.

The director chose to have the cast telling the story to her (the Little Gypsy Girl) which made her the central focus often.  She had some super tender moments where the director gave her a sport light or a solo to show the innocent and accepting love of a child compared to adults.  The music from the show and cast was incredible and the show turned out beautiful.  Opening night Liv brought bell cookies beautifully decorated by Leigh Newton for each cast member.

Derek quickly became the cast's number one fan.  He saw over 15 shows we think.  Liv started limiting him to one show a week.  Liv absolutely adored her double in the show Julia Buckner.  After the show opened they hardly saw each other.  Liv asked if we could go see Julia perform on Julia's birthday, so we bought tickets to see Julia's cast that night and Liv gave her a huge hug and said happy birthday after the show.

Sadly, we discovered that an accidental prop through the wall had taken out Liv's original handprint from her first show at HCTO.  So she got to replace her hand print after this show and rewrite Christmas Carol and then this part around her hand.

The publicity photographer ended up going to both nights that Liv performed, so we got so many great picture of Liv in the show.

She had so so many people come see and support her in the show--I don't even have pictures of all of them, but I do have lots.

All the grandparents of course came and even Liv's old violin teacher Shawna came to see the show one night.  It was super fun, and we were all sad to see this show end except for the hair braiding/curling part that part I was glad to be rid of.  She stole my phone the last night of the show to get some pics of the cast.  She had so much fun backstage with the girls in the cast.

They made fun tik toks and actually did a secret friend gift exchange that was a lot of fun for her.  Liv was assigned a "child wrangler" (or 3) and she loved them all.

And, at the end of the show she was thrilled to be invited to the wedding reception of two people in the cast.  We stopped by and it was like a cast reunion after the show had ended.
