Trailer Campout #3/ Bryce Canyon

We had a Bryce Canyon trailer campsite reserved for both us and Steph and Jon’s family. It started rough when right before leaving I discovered that both boys had hit holes into our white vinyl fence just for fun.
Well mostly Carter, but Camden just let Carter and made one hole himself. Derek was so mad he almost canceled the trip.
Liv ended up having a callback audition that weekend, so she and I decided to stay home. Both boys had to ride for most of the drive without any electronics as punishment for the fence. Babi and Papou decided to join in on the Bryce Canyon weekend too, but stayed at the hotel close by.
I got a call that morning from Derek asking what to do about a Carter who was okay but fell hand first into the fire right on a coal and burned his hand pretty good. The got some medicine in him and bandaged it up and then he was able to go on a pretty awesome hike with the group.

Liv got done with her callback around 11am, and with COVID still necessitating staying home mostly we decided to drive up after her audition and join the group for the last night and dinner. It was totally worth the drive.
Steph did a Shepherd’s Pie in a dutch oven and it seemed to hit the spot for everyone. We had a great time around the fire and enjoyed Derek’s cobbler. Then, the next day, we got to see some gorgeous views at Rainbow Point and did two great hikes.
We really enjoyed playing in the water and under the waterfall of the Mossy Cave hike.

All the kids got their Jr. Ranger badges thanks to some great adult cousins there to help them with that.
