Liv Winter and Spring Performances

In January, Liv's MDT Company performed the group medley they had been working on all year.  It was quite the production, and so fun to see it all come to fruition.  Liv opened the whole show with a little solo from Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  She loved that she got to miss school for a day to do her dress rehearsal at the Covey Center.

In February, she had violin graduation.  I wasn't sure what to expect, but I guess this is a yearly think for suzuki violin students.  The kids memorize and play the last song in whatever book they have mastered.  Liv worked her tail off to get her song memorized and did a great job.  Some kids had finished 2 books that year, so they had to perform two memorized pieces.  Liv said she hopes that never happens to her.  But, as it stand now...she just finished Book 2 and is working her way through Book 3...she will likely be performing a song from both Book 2 and 3 next year.

Liv finally landed a part in her first play this school year.  She was given a part in the Children's Choir for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat put on by Springville playhouse.  The director was actually quite taken with her and had a solo arranged for her to sing the show to showcase her a little.  And best of all, Olivia's best friend from school also got a part and our neighbor Kenzie.  We celebrated with ice cream at Dairy Queen.  Unfortunately, the whole production had to be canceled due to the Corona Virus.  Liv was pretty sad about that at first, but she seems to have recovered okay.

The last performance Olivia and really anyone was able to get in before the state shut down in March

for Corona Virus safety, was her monologue and solo show case for her COPA company.  She totally owned the stage.  She had everyone cracking up over her monologue.  It was about how great it is to be a little sister and be able to pester and blame her older brother for everything and get him in trouble with his friends.  She did a fantastic job on her solo too.  She sang A You're Adorable.  We had all of Steph's family there to support since Derek and Steph banned Steve and Diane from coming due to worries about the Corona Virus.
