Aunt Kylie Comes to Visit

Aunt Kylie is currently between jobs with a little downtime and we reaped the benefit with a visit from her.  My kids all adore Aunt Kylie.  She came during the end of year school rush, but just in time to catch the kids dance festival and family picnic.  It was fun to have her for that. 

She helped me take cars back and forth between our house and Derek’s work and the car shop for oil changes.  She also happened to be there the evening Derek and I celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary.  She offered to watch the boys so we could go out (Liv was at play practice as she always seemed to be).  She took the boys to Mama Chu’s and to climb at Funtopia.  

Derek and I had dinner at my favorite restaurant up at Sundance, the Treeroom which is always a treat. 

The next day was the last day of school.  Liv got out early, so we all celebrated by meeting Derek for lunch at J dawgs.  Then, we spent the majority of the afternoon with Aunt Kylie playing on the classic NES.  The kids loved how good Aunt Kylie was at Mario 3.

Ky and Carter bonded one night when he snuck into her bed late and night and she let him stay and sleep with her all night.

On Aunt Kylie’s last morning with us, we all hiked up to Battle Creek Falls.  Ky and the boys even hiked up to the top of the falls.
