The first flakes of snow really set the mood for later that night when we had tickets to a Polar Express train ride in Grandma and Grandpa's neighborhood.

They have some neighbors who have this cute little train that runs on tracks through a few house to the North Pole where you get to see Santa, sit on his lap/receive a candy cane. Camden asked for a big Lego Police set, Olivia asked for a Rainbow Puppy Surprise, and Carter asked for a dragon Hatchimal. Then, on the train ride back there are a whole bunch of beautiful pictures of the Savior to look at and Christ-centered Christmas music playing.

On the way out they had a bunch of Christmas cards to sign for missionaries and people serving in the military. The boys both signed their huge and cute messy 5 year old signatures on some military cards and dictated a message for me to write. Camden's message was "Thanks for fighting the bad guys for us." Afterwards, the whole family including cousins went back to Steve and Diane's for pizza. It was a good kickstart to December.
