For some reason we keep acquiring these large boxes which the kids and Liv especially have enjoyed coloring and turning into airplanes and they have been a source of fun all summer. (But I must admit that large part of me wants to just throw them away so they will stop cluttering my house).
One favorite thing we like to do when we just need to get out of the house is go over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for ice cream.
I must say the summer has been great with all the kids in the neighborhood running from house to house. I feel like this pictures epitomizes what summer for all kids should be. My kids and Chelsea from the neighborhood sitting on the front steps enjoying popsicles.
Liv earned her 3rd set of stitches (2nd set on her mouth) at ballet this summer. She ran he lip right into the metal part of the bar that attaches to the wall. We had to stitch her lip back together. Luckily, it was in the crease of her mouth and thus, the scar will be hardly noticeable.
Not sure that left her with positive feeling about dance which even though she was excited for me to register her for was like pulling teeth to get her to go every week. However, I understand that once there she was quite good and seemed to enjoy it.
We've done a fair amount of swimming this summer.
The kids are in swim lessons and really starting to get more comfortable in the water. Liv is starting to use her arms when she swims and she can now swim a few strokes then lift her head out of the water for a breath and then keep going. The boys can swim a good distance but once they need a breath then assistance in needed. But, they can both jump in from the edge of the pool, turn themselves around, swim back to wall and pull themselves out. One night, Derek scored us free entrance into the Scera Pool as some sort of client appreciation night. The kids swam, they had J.dawgs and Waffle Love there. The kids were soooo excited to eat the waffles poolside.
We took them down the big slide which was crazy because none of them could go without an adult and we had 3 kids but only two adults. Liv loved jumping off the diving boards and then swimming the the edge on repeat.We barely made it for free slurpees on 7/11 day.
There was quite the line, but the kids were actually so good. I thought they were all so cute standing there in line waiting patiently. 
The Miss Orem girls put together a fundraiser Mom &Me princess tea party to raise money for the new park they are building at the city center. It was cute.
They had a photo booth and Miss Orem teen read the girls a book. 
Liv got her nails painted and hair sparkle spray painted. They taught them all a dance and then the girls performed it for us. We came home from that and found Camden asleep on Dad. He's so funny. He fell asleep downstairs, woke up, went up stairs, found Dad and fell back asleep on him. When he wakes up, he likes to find one of us and come cuddle and often falls back asleep. My other two don't really do that, and I love this about Camden.
I took the boys to story time the other morning both got picked to hold various stuffed animals and lead the group in Old McDonald. Camden's animal was a spider and he was asked to stay up and help with the Itsy Bitsy Spider. He loved it!
The neighborhood threw a farewell tea party for Miss Hazel and Lilah Leeper. It was so cute. We set out real breakable tea sets, and I was amazed that nothing got broken. They kids all enjoyed it.
I roped Lindsey into meeting me at the Hale Center with her kids to see Alice in Wonderland Jr. version. It was done really well as always. All the characters and costumers were a hoot! And the way they portrayed Alice getting smaller and bigger was super neat.
Peaches are on which means peach pancakes and canned peaches and peach pie in our future. The kids have all developed my love for peach pancakes and beg me to make them every morning.
We had Steve and Diane over for dinner tonight and after dinner Camden grabbed Grandpa's hand and led him downstairs where he cooked him his 2nd dinner.
