Liv turns 2

Well, our kiddo is growing up.  And, I must say this girl got good at opening presents this year.  She had so many fun packages come in the mail for her from all her grandparents and aunt and uncle that live away and all of them had several things to open.  She loved it and loves all the new toys to play with!  Each outfit she wanted to try on as soon as she opened it.

The real excitement of her birthday was waking up to visitors.  Uncle Nathan and his girlfriend Leigh Anne drove up from Vegas to celebrate with us.  Liv totally attached herself to them.  We spent her actual birthday at the Thanksgiving Point Farm.  Here she is petting a cow.

 Feeding the cutest baby goats.
 Waiting for a pony ride
I was shocked at how well she hung on.  Derek walked next to her, but I swear she would have been just fine without him there.  Now riding a pony is all she can talk about.  (A future equestrian???)
I wish we could have captured the huge grin this girl had on her face when she came around the bend toward us the first time.  It was so adorable!  Here is a little video of her riding. My favorite part is at the beginning when she turns to Dad to give him an excited smile.

Love this pic of her and Uncle Nathan
Liv was very intrigued by this cow bench.  It was hard to get her to sit still for this picture.  She just wanted to pet the cow.
 Riding on Uncle Nathan's feet
Mom and Dad gave Liv a plasma car.  She hasn't quite figured out that if she just twists the wheel back and forth, it will move forward all on it's own, but I am sure she will learn soon enough.  Nonetheless, she loves to ride it in the backyard!  Here's a cute video of her right after we gave it to her.
The actual party we had the day after her brithday.  We had all of Derek's family (and Nay and Leigh) over at our place for sandwich fixings, Aunt Clarissa made a Boston Cream Pie, and I made raspberry sorbet (for poor little Liv who is allergic to everything else).

We ate outside on our porch.  All the kids had a blast throwing the football around in our backyard and riding Liv's new plasma car.  London was ecstatic to run back and forth trying to be part of the football catching.  I love this picture of everyone and London snuggling up next to Jon's feet.  She just wanted to be part of the party.
And look at London's expectant face as Rylan gets ready to throw this football to Chase
All and all, a good birthday.  Liv keeps telling me she is two and can be heard walking around the house singing "Happy Birthday to Livie"--wonder how long that will continue?
